SIP Week 10: May 17-23

Janiecakes, as John calls her.
Shaggy haired boys
Disappointed eyebrow face
Happy eating face. We discovered she loooves salmon.
Tuckered each other out
Standing up like a big kid.
Digging together in the backyard. We'd really like to landscape, but it is nice that the kids have free rein and we don't have anything they can really ruin back there.
We are really missing traveling and making plans. So we made some beignets and dreamed about going to New Orleans one day. Or at least the Jazz Kitchen in downtown Disney.

Three sets of thumbs up.
For a school assignment, Jonah rated the quarantine life 3/5 stars. I'll take it. Keeping positive and trying to find new ways to have fun for the kids is exhausting.
What's in your mouth, Jane?
We just pinch her cheeks and a Lego usually pops out.
The boys weren't being cooperative, so I asked them to carry Jane inside for me.
Guinea piggie sitting for our friends.
Perry loves plugging in the van.
She's getting so big.
She loves standing up.
Helping Jonah with his work.
Wanting to go outside, all the time.
Waiting at the corner on our walk. I loved their hands in their pockets like cool vintage teenagers.
These boys eat huge plates of food at every meal and usually a snack or two.
Whenever Scott does his app work for class, his brothers want to watch and Jane wants to grab.
Jonah's end of year nonfiction project. About sharks, of course.
If it's on the couch, Jane will soon put it on the floor.
Always reading.
I got this little griddle so the kids can practice some cooking skills at a safer height. Scott loves making pancakes.
Trying out the walker.
Clapping for the music.
Lightsaber fight.
Trouble with a capital T
She just looks sweet with her little pink bow.
She's actually very mischievous. Her favorite source of mischief is the toilet bowl.
Letting her get some wiggles out on the trampoline.
Then taking her off so her brothers can continue their shenanigans.
Pointing her sword in solidarity with Moana.
So happy with a toy in one hand, a paci in her mouth, and standing up.
Haircut day.
All three older men got a big chop.
Perry only wanted a little trim to keep the hair out of his eyes.
Nothing for Jane, although her hair is filling in.
Perry didn't know what a milkshake was, so we were obligated to teach him through first hand experience.
Even Jane wants in on the action.
Perry and Scott using their minutes to play Mario Kart. They earn them for chores or working toward goals. Perry usually uses them within two days of filling his chart. Scott hoards them and only uses them when he has a healthy savings. Jonah often opts to not do his tasks and cashes in on his brothers' work by watching them play instead.
Shucking corn next to the compost pile to save a step.
It's feeling more like summer here and we're ready to be done with distance learning school and onto longer sunny days of whatever play we can do this year.
