Bringing Jane Home

I'm not sure if it was the different hospital or if procedures had changed since we had the boys, but the hospital did all the tests and check ups during the day, so we were interrupted minimally during the night.
We just soaked in our little angel and tried to get a little sleep when we could.
We dressed Jane in her first clothes, an outfit from my friends Danielle and Liz. I thought she'd be smaller because of my blood pressure and getting induced early, but she filled her outfit right up.
She had nice, chubby cheeks from the start.
Her skin and eyes were yellow from having a high bilirubin level.
We loved our midwives and nurses until the last nurse. Jane was choking and she wanted us to stop giving her formula. Luckily it wasn't our first baby so we didn't stress it.
She screamed at the top of her tiny lungs until we gave her a bottle, then she happily slept in our arms.
Karen brought the boys after church to see Jane.
They couldn't wait to hold her again.
We got discharged in the afternoon. Jane looked so little in the carseat.
We were at a different hospital and drove home in a new car, but back to the same house. It was good to be home.
She seemed happy here.
We're a little older and more tired this time around, but we still love having a tiny baby again.
Like her brothers, she only likes the giant circle pacis.
Popping out of her little preemie clothes already.
Perry has been waiting and waiting to soothe the baby with a pacifier.
They say you can't spoil a baby, but we're trying our best.
