Coming Home

Friday morning we had some time just the three of us while we waited to be discharged.

 We all napped on and off.

Perry tried on clothes for the first time.

When we picked his outfit it seemed so tiny, but he was swimming in it.

I had to pull his feet down to put in the leg spots because he wanted to keep them scrunched up.

Finally the nurse cut our id tags and took my ivs out.

 It was a warm, beautiful day out, but a little chilly in our room, so he snuggled in a blanket while we waited for the wheelchair.

The volunteer who wheeled us out gave Perry a tiny homemade hat.

Perry had two brothers at home anxiously waiting to hold him.

 I was still feeling sick on Saturday and we spent pretty much the whole day taking turns holding the baby.

 Grandma stopped by to get a quick snuggle.

 Then Grandpa came over to meet the baby.

 The boys found a willing reader.
