Pi Day

We had Alan over for dinner while Karen is in Utah.

 Kelly's Chicken Enchiladas. 

 And, of course, some pie for pi day. Alan brought a berry pie and I made an ice cream pie.

Scott loved his first pi day, but was a little upset that he didn't get any pie.

CheckUp

Scott will suck anything near his mouth including his own collar, blankets and John's hands. We think this has helped chub him up.

At his 2 week appointment he was up to 7 pounds, 14 ounces (21st percentile) and 21 inches long (55th percentile). 

He looks so big all stretched out.

Sometimes all that eating wears him out and he falls asleep while being burped.

Complete with milk drool.

A Few Firsts

Scott enjoyed his first walk.

 We've been going out when John comes home for lunch.

 I tried his church outfit on him, but even over his pjs it was huge. Maybe next week.

He wore this his first time at church instead.

Bath Time

Scott's umbilical cord came off Thursday the 8th. Perfect timing because that night John called out, "Beck can you help me? He exploded!"

 His first blow out which led to his first bath.

He was slightly confused about what was going on, but liked the warm water.

His wet hair was curly and cute.

 Happy to be bundled and dry.

His hair was so fluffy after.

Visitors

My friend Miranda came by to meet Scott and hold a baby for the first time.

 We also went to Karen and Alan's for dinner with Lucas, Katie and Ryan.

 He was held the whole time

 The Summers came by to fight over Scott as well.

Emily made us some cake pops. Scott loved his.

 I started babysitting for the Summers when Emily was born. Now she's 12 and can babysit for us.

 Karyn also came to meet Scott and started brainstorming a 1st birthday cake.

Lauren brought Lincoln over to meet his new friend.

 Scott has some growing to do, but once he's caught up they'll be best buds.

We also went to visit John at work

Scott is one happy boy in the morning. His parents are less than enthusiastic about his energy.

Day 6

Scott had a visit from his Aunt Amanda

They bonded over their love for sleep

Day 5

This little man started to fill his pajamas!

 He gets snuggle time with his dad in the morning while I sleep.

 His favorite place to be.

In his "off to Grandma's" bib, although Grandma came to him this day.

 We have had some delicious meals brought over by generous members of our ward. This little girl came with her mom to drop off chicken noodle soup. 

 We didn't realize just how drained we would be and having dinners (and leftovers for lunch) made has been so helpful.

 It frees up more time for us to love on Scott.
