The End

We used our last fast passes at Splash Mountain.
I've never gotten so wet on this ride before.
Then I remembered we were walking back to the hotel. haha. Luckily it was nice and warm in Anaheim.
We had such a great trip and already can't wait to go back!

Little Green Holiday

We celebrated our small amount of Irish heritage with corned beef and cabbage. I'd never had it before, but John was insistent that it was delicious. We had Mark over to enjoy the feast.
Sweet little Bubba joined in the celebrations.
He looks slightly demented here. Perhaps the hat was cutting off his oxygen supply.
It was all worth it when John rubbed his belly. There was no shortage of belly to rub, either.
I think he's looking out the back door longingly. Such a good sport.
We also used our ice cream maker again, but this time added some mint extract and grated chocolate...and green food coloring, of course.
I only put a 1/2 teaspoon of mint, but it was still a little strong, so I milked mine down in the blender. Such a tasty holiday!

Opposable Thumbs

Bubba was spoiled on his birthday and now gets very aggressive and vocal about his treats.
I love when he and John "talk."

One More Down

Tonight we painted the hall and living room. It's a little darker than these pictures, and slightly brownish, or "wheat bread," as Behr calls it.
We finally put our curtain rod up. The curtains we got from our wedding were uneven lengths, though. So, we put our bedroom ones in here (good thing I procrastinated hemming them) and put some from my aunt in our bedroom.
We also got a little bookcase for movies. And swapped out the t.v. stand for the entertainment center. So classy.
We still need to hang things, but for now it's done!
The doors all got the ceiling color over their wood paneling, and a new light brightened the hall up very nicely.
Enjoying the fruits of their labor.

More Pi

John was feeling left out on Pi day, so after church we whipped up a cherry cream pie. (This time with blueberries, because we didn't have any cherries on hand. We've also tried strawberries, which are delicious, but don't provide the same tart-sweet balance.) I know we favor cherry cream pies, but Thanksgiving was my first time having one, so I have many years worth to catch up on.
I told him no excited face this time, so this is what we got.

Bubba's Birthday!

We've been together since I was a fifth grader. These are some pictures I found from his first bath.
Here we are eleven years later, still goin strong.
He loves the hat I made him.
We took him to Karyn's to celebrate.
She made the most perfect kitty cake.
It was beautiful and delicious.

Three Months!

We celebrated our quarter-versary tonight in true Tamn fashion. John barbequed some quarter pounders and I got him a quarter pound of See's. Then we put quarters in our Italy jar and did some planning/dreaming.
Of course, no celebration (or Friday night) would be complete without some painting, so we put Almond Cream on the kitchen, living room, and hallway ceilings.
Singing a little Mulan to keep our energy up. We also played name that John Williams (for John) and Disney (for me) tune. A little Beach Boys then Taylor Swift and we were home free.
All tuckered out.

Oh Dear

John's "bangs" were getting a little long. So, while I was away one day, he took matters into his own hands. I can't leave him unsupervised for any considerable length of time.
Don't worry...as soon as he saw this picture he went out for a proper trim.

Baptism

I went to Jeremy and Jason's baptisms today. I've been babysitting for the Summers since before they were born and I can't believe they're already eight!

Physical Activity

John and I have been working to increase the amount of exercise we get each day. Today I walked to Target, John played church ball. To each his own.
Again with the phone picture, but you can barely make out the two little refs in the back--Uncle John and my dad!
