6 Weeks

This week Scott did some more growing.

He fits into his overalls much better now.

He doesn't love tummy time, but he puts up with it.

Scott also met Britta this week!

He was not on his best behavior (filled his diaper 3 times), but Britta still loved him.

This was the Cardinals' opening night.

I think he's getting balder in his old age.

He's definitely more alert for longer periods of time.

He still loves sucking on everything in his vicinity and is getting better at finding his hands.

I love this outfit on him. The pants are padded and so cozy.

(Lizzie was asking about their relationship and I think she is his second cousin once removed upwards or he is her first cousin once removed downwards. John says they're just first cousins once removed. The more I looked it up the more confused I became, so from now on I say cousins. Wikipedia says it's colloquially appropriate.)

General Conference

We went to Brian and Annie's to watch conference. One of us kept everyone up partying until 2:30 in the morning and we took advantage of the couch and baby holders and took some naps. Needless to say, we're going to need to watch some of the talks again.

Brian made cinnamon rolls on Saturday and Alan made blueberry pancakes on Sunday.

We traded Scott for some pancakes.

One Month

Is a monthly picture redundant when we take pictures of Scott every day?

 Are the chair pictures making you nervous or is it just me?

There we go. I just wanted a way to compare his size.

 He and this Bubba cow became fast friends.

 It's amazing to me how mobile he is for someone who can't roll or crawl yet.

 He quickly turned on the cow and tried to eat him.

I guess all John's talk about hamburgers was too much for him.

5 Weeks

Scott started to outgrow some of his preemie and newborn outfits, so we broke out his 0-3 month clothes.

He is getting bigger and stronger. 

John tried sitting him in his Bumbo, but he needs a little more stability first.

He is better at holding his head up and focusing his eyes.

My aunts stayed most of the week after his blessing to love on Scott a little more.

He liked looking at Julie and being held all the time.

His tummy is filling in and when he stretches out it's easier to see how big he is.

He still loves eating (especially his vitamins) and hanging out with John.

We've made some progress with him sleeping in his own bed and he likes to fall asleep during walks and drives.

He's awake for longer periods of time now and we are enjoying having more time to play together.

Scott's Blessing

Scott was blessed in church this Sunday, March 25th.

 He was a perfect angel the whole time.

Alan took some pictures of him in his blessing outfit.

Lots of John's family was able to come, including Neil and Ashley's family from Arizona, Bethany and her girls from Oregon and Grandma Marva from Arkansas.

Karen and Alan made lots of food for everyone.

Scott just ate his bottles.

By the end of the day we were wiped out.

It was a lovely day and we are grateful to everyone who came to celebrate with us.
